TEACHER OF PSYCHOLOGY
Allestree Woodlands School is seeking to appoint a teacher of Psychology from Easter 2022 or sooner.
We are looking for a highly effective teacher who is optimistic in approach and committed to enabling students to make the best progress possible. The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range but will mainly focus on KS5. The ability to also teach Health and Social Care and/or Sociology would be desirable.

The psychology curriculum is currently taught within the Humanities suite of subjects. The Humanities Faculty consists of Geography, History and Ethics and Philosophy at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, with Politics, Psychology and Sociology being offered at Key Stage 5. The successful applicant will join a committed, collaborative, forward thinking and highly successful team situated within its own humanities area. The humanities are hugely popular with the school’s students and the school offers a very personal and professionally supportive environment.
Psychology is a popular A level subject as is Sociology. Health and Social Care L3 BTEC has been offered for the first time this year.
