We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Design and Technology and/or Food Technology to join our Technology team from September 2023.  A TLR may be available for a suitably experienced candidate.

Allestree Woodlands School is a popular and successful 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1350 students (200+ in the sixth form). The school is situated on the northern edge of the city of Derby in a very pleasant setting overlooking the Kedleston Hall National Trust estate. We work as a great team together and are committed to the continuing professional development of all colleagues.

The successful candidate will join our ambitious and improving Technology Faculty which comprises D&T (including product design, food/nutrition, materials and engineering), computing, business and health and social care. Uptake of GCSE subjects is high in the faculty and A level provision continues to grow with courses in design and technology, business studies, computing, and health and social through Level 2 and post-16 Level 3. The ability to teach product design and/or food technology is preferable; second technology subject would also be desirable. The position is suited to an ECT or an experienced teacher.
